This idea lived quietly in my sketchbook for months until I showed it to Mike Walton at LTM and was told right then to ‘make it happen’! A collection was commissioned and launched at Clerkenwell Design Week later that year.
Screen print.
The screen print was meticulously printed by Jealous Print, who worked patiently with me on what became a far more challenging job than any of us expected. Achieving a smooth gradient took time and the simple design gave us nowhere to hide! Printed on deckled edge Somerset Satin stock in black and silver, each print is signed and numbered. Definitely the most popular piece I produced for LTM and one I still receive enquiries about today.
Gift collection.
I was also commissioned to design a limited gift collection to accompany the print. This included boxed notebooks, premium hard enamel pin badges and a very limited run of screen printed and boxed t-shirts. The collection was launched and Clerkenwell Design Week and was followed by general sale at the London Transport Museum shop.
