Royal Albert Hall – 150th Anniversary Collection
Royal Albert Hall is one of the world’s most cherished and iconic performance venues, providing access to the arts, culture, science and politics for a diverse audience. I was briefed to create an illustration and gift collection celebrating its 150th anniversary.

The retail team at Royal Albert Hall wanted an illustration that showed while culture, people and the content on the stage have evolved the Royal Albert Hall has always been there for the public and always will be. The design had to work across a wide range of merchandise including ceramics, stationary, textles and apparel.
The result is a pared back, block print style illustration representing the spirit and story of the Hall as well as the structure. The iconic building sits front and centre with a visual fanfare of performers, protestors, players and planes bursting from the roof. I enjoy using negative white space to create definition in illustrations and with a building this iconic and shapely, it works brilliantly.
A celebration of the 150 years of history made. And hopefully, many more to come.
