TfL x East London Liquor Co.
East London Liquor Co is a distillery in London’s east end producing a range of quality spirits. I was commissioned by London Transport Museum to create the design and packaging for these two limited edition collaborations.
The spirit of re-invention.
To celebrate the launch of the new Routemaster Bus, this limited edition gin was launched at TfL’s pop-up bar and shop at designjunction. Named after the No.8 bus route which was the first to use the new buses and incorporating design details from vintage No.8 vehicles and timetables. The gin is packaged in an original bottle by Stranger & Stranger with labels redesigned by me for the collaboration.
London After Dark.
The second collaboration between TfL and East London Liquor. is this particularly fine demerara rum. Launched, once again at designjunction, it formed part of a celebration of London Nightlife. The design includes an abstracted London skyline and is headed by the iconic Bethnal Green platform clock showing the time of the last departing train.
